Trying to help a very special family with a very special little boy. Here is his birth annoucement written by his very special parents : "World, we would like to formally welcome and introduce our very very special and sweet little boy Toby William John Plyler. Born at 34 weeks and 2 days he weighed in at 7 lbs 4 oz and 18 inches long born at 6:27 pm 3/30/16.
On Monday I had my routine OB visit and was measuring significantly larger than expected. I was referred for an ultrasound the next day where they discovered extra fluid in his abdomen, around his lungs, and in his skin. He was diagnosed with Hydrop Fetalis due to unknown causes. They rushed me by ambulance to Tacoma General where we spent less than 24 hours getting several high level ultrasounds and many many blood tests. After many different plans of action his condition started to worsen so it was determined they would take him immediately. Within 30 minutes I was rushed to the OR and an emergency C-Section was performed. They were uncertain he would survive long once he was delivered.
Hydrops Fetalis is very rare and very very dangerous with an extremely high mortality rate. We have already had some incredibly amazing blessings and luck with outcomes which i directly correlate to his incredible strength and the outpouring of love, prayers, and good thoughts that we have received from all of our family and friends. We are so incredibly lucky to have so many wonderful, amazing people in our lives. It brings me to tears to think about the way we've been supported. I cannot thank each and every one of you enough times. I will spend my life in gratitude for everything you all have done for us.
Our amazing little miracle is not near being out of the woods yet however I have nothing but positive optimism for him. I wish I was sharing a sweet little photo of this guy in one of his absolutely precious outfits and had no concerns in the world, but that's not his story. Not yet. This is our little fighter. And he is perfect, in every way."
They will have to stay near by (which will all be out of pocket) the NICU to be near their very special little boy who will be kept in the NICU for an undermined amount of time. In which we all now will cost alot. Please help this very wonderful family out with some of the very costly expenses that are racking up. I couldn't think of a more deserving family. Toby is along awaited miracle.
