Kids with Autism Climbing Trip!!

I am an Occupational Therpaist working in a special education school in Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn, NYC. We have children in our classrooms with various disabilities including Autism, Down Syndrome, and language delays. The majority of our students come from low income/high poverty neighborhoods and single-caregiver families.
Our school provides its students with small special education classes and extra support through therapy, counseling, and individualized attention so that they can reach their highest potential, as typical learning environments can be too challenging for them.
Real life experiences are really important for our children and is way more important than academics. Unfortunetly many of these experiences are not affordable to our families. $15 (which is the cost per child for this activity) may not seem a lot of money to most of us, but for most of our families this is dinner. So many times children miss out, or staff spend our own money for the kids to go on field trips.
Rock Climbing is an excellent activity that has the potentional to foster growth and skill development including : fitness, building confidence and overcoming fear, nurturing problem solving skills, buidling core and upper body strength and endurance, and an increased sense of self efficacy.
I would want to be able to take our kids on a field trip at a local climbing gym to have this experience and am looking for your help!
I am aiming to have the trip in late May of this year (2017). If it is successful we plan to make this an ongoing experience in the next school year.
If we exceed our funding goal, the money will go towards future trips at the climbing gym or other similar type field trips, with the hope this could be an ongoing experience for our children.
