August's Transition Fund

Hi! I need to raise money for top surgery! Any amount of help would ease my anxiety so much.  I love you all so much, even if all you can offer is positive vibes!!! I also really hate asking for handouts so if you want me to embroider something for you or make you some art in exchange let me know!!

For a long time, I felt like my body wasn't my own and that I couldn't change it because it wouldn't be "easy" or "right" or "healthy".

I have openly identified as transgender for 8 years. I always wanted top surgery, but never saw it as something I could do for myself, and even if I could, I wouldn't make it that far. 

This summer I realized that the only way I am going to get top surgery is if I make it happen for myself. I have found the most incredible surgeon who is willing to work with me on price and is doing everything in her power to keep my bills down, but there is still a financial burden. The surgery is not fully covered by insurance. Out of pocket, I will have to pay ~50% of surgical costs and at least 20% of the hospital charges, so it is going to cost me over 6,000 out of pocket. My surgery date is set for March 26th, 2019.
