Thank you for taking the time to visit my campaign page!

As many of you know, I have just finished the first semester of my second year at the University of Oklahoma. Earlier this year, I officially declared a major in International Studies and a minor in Spanish. I was accepted to the accelerated 5-year BA/MA program in International Studies, so I will graduate with both my bachelor's and master's degrees in May 2018. I am also part of the College of International Studies (CIS) Leadership Fellows program (LEAF).

I recently received the exciting news that I have been accepted to Washington and the World, a program sponsored by OU's CIS. The program consists of a trip to Washington, DC during spring break. On this trip, I will have the opportunity to explore DC, observe work in the NGO and government sectors, and network with OU alumni and other individuals who will be able to provide me with a wealth of knowledge and career guidance.

My degree also requires me to spend at least one semester abroad. Next year, during the Spring 2016 semester, I am planning to travel to a Spanish-speaking country to fill this requirement and achieve deeper fluency in Spanish. At this point, my top two countries of consideration are Uruguay and Peru; Spain is also an option.

Should you choose to donate, I can assure you that the money will be spent responsibly. My expenses for the DC trip will primarily be for my airfare, as well as travel and meal expenses when in the city. The remaining money will go towards OU fees, insurance, travel costs, and other miscellaneous expenses during my time abroad.

I am incredibly excited about both of these opportunities and have been very lucky to receive some financial aid; however, I still need more funding to make both of these trips a reality. I decided to start this campaign in order to help myself remain financially responsible and avoid taking out student loans to pay for my trips, and also to share my plans with my friends and family. I'm deeply grateful to anyone who decides to contribute, but I'm also incredibly thankful to everyone who shares this page, even if you are unable to donate! Whether or not you're in a position to donate, rest assured that my travels to DC and abroad will come with plenty of postcards, photos, and stories of me doing silly things and eating a lot of really great food all over the world. Thank you for reading, sharing, and hopefully contributing!

Please keep updated on my travels at !

Hi everyone! As the beginning of the school year approaches, I just wanted to update my campaign page and let everyone know about my plans for the future and my study abroad expenses for Spring 2016.

At this point, my first choice for my study abroad semester is a program in Argentina, with Uruguay being my backup destination. This program will help me bolster my Spanish language skills, expose me to a new culture, and fulfill the key requirement of my International Studies degree.

The program I'm hoping to enroll in will be financially comparable to a semester in the US, but much of the expenses will be due at the beginning of the academic year. I am fortunate enough to be able to pay off each semester as it comes, but my total fall semester expenses will now more than double. I'll be honest - I'm very scared about this! I know it will all work out somehow, but any donation amount truly means the world to me and will go directly to the cost of my tuition and study abroad fees.

As I complete the application process, I can provide copies of my expenses to anyone who would like to verify them. Donations will be moved into a separate savings account to ensure that they will be used specifically for this new adventure.

I can't wait to keep everyone updated, and I hope summer has treated you well!

Hello everyone! Since my last update, I had my AMAZING Spring Break trip to DC and have also found a new study abroad possibility for next spring: Buenos Aires!

DC was so enjoyable and inspiring. Over the course of a week, we visited three embassies, several NGOs, and many other organizations that could potentially be our future workplaces. I left feeling more confident than ever in my choice of major, and I am so grateful for the connections I made with my friends and professors.

That said, DC is expensive! I spent most of my funds on train tickets, food, and taxis. This means that I'm essentially starting over for my study abroad trip. Even the smallest amount helps, and if you are unable to donate, a share is much appreciated! As always, please check out my website,, for updates. Thank you all so much!
