Film Student Computer Needed

Hello Everyone. My name is Isaac and I need your help. I am a film student at San Jose State University and an educational expense has recently popped up.
My laptop is old, and getting older. It cannot run the video editing and rendering software I need to do my school work and as a film student making do without is not an option . The problem is that as a film student who cannot live at home and who needs to pay for bills and food, the quality of computer I need to continue my schoolwork is beyond my reach.
I am asking for help paying for a new computer, so I can continue my schoolwork without issue and continue work on my self-directed projects which I intend to use both to hone my skills above and beyond what my classes demand of me, and to build my portfolio, which will serve as my launching point for my film career. I've been making movies and short films in my spare time for years, even before I started my classes at San Jose state, and I intend to do all the necessary practice and build all the necessary skills to really succeed in this career path.
I have done the research, with help, and the models that fill my needs fall around the $780 to $800 range. Anything extra will go towards making sure the computer is properly protected and will last the 5 or more years I want it to.
Now, I have no physical rewards to offer you, but I can give you the pleasure of my embarrassment. If my goal is met I will video myself doing three embarrassing things chosen from a list of suggestions given by those who contributed, with three conditions:
- Nothing illegal (Obvious yes, but it has to be said)
- No profanity
- No kissing anyone. That is a first I want to save for someone special.
Anything will help, large or small. I appreciate you hearing me out and thank you for time.
