Hi everyone. My name is Darren Coburn-james, I am an aspiring artist, just trying to get noticed. I have an art page on Facebook https://en-gb.facebook.com/AsylumArtz/ if you would like to check out what I do.
Here is a little bit about me. I am married to a wonderful woman named Lisa who has been my rock for 8 years. I have a 7 year old son that often acts like a teenager, but he is amazing and will always be my greatest creation. I work full time as a graphic designer Working on the design and layout of magazines.
My real passion however is art, for as long as I can remember I have always loved drawing. Lately for me, art has been like therapy, as i was diagnosed with crohns disease and developed social anxiety which has resulted in a massive loss of confidence. But the last few months I have made progress with my art, health and confidence. But I feel like I need to take the next step, but unfortunately our money situation isn't great at the moment, which is where hopefully you guys might help. What I really would love to do is set up my own artist table at a convention. This means i would need prints, banners, more art equipment, storage for everything, displays and everything else that comes with doing this and unfortunately it isn't cheap. I would appreciate any donations no matter how small, it would mean so much, and it would give me the confidence boost I need.
