Stroke Recovery

Donation protected
On Monday, April 23rd, I found out that my friend, Scott Rhea, had suffered a stroke. Already nearly blind from living with Type 1 diabetes for years, now he's struggling to recover from this tragedy. He has little income, and no family left alive to help him.

At the time of this posting, it is still early in his hospitalization, and he has several weeks yet of physical therapy ahead. We don't know yet when he will be able to go home, or how much use of his limbs he will be able to regain. We don't know how much his weeks of hospitalization and treatment will cost; we can guess that it will be sizable.

I am setting up this fund in an effort to help him in any way that I can. I hope at least to be able to pay rent for an apartment for him, and keep a roof over his head.

(The picture, I know, isn't him. It's just a wallpaper from a game series we play together, but, I think he would appreciate the sentiment. Scott has been knocked down many times, and though he's always gotten back up, I think this time he could use a helping hand.)
