Assistance for our friend Tiffany Thompson.

On Monday, May 13, 2019, at 6:55 p.m., a fire broke out in a northeast Columbus apartment building. The fire, smoke, and water heavily damaged the apartment building and the building next to it, where Tiffany Thompson lives. Tiffany and her dog, Coco, made it out of the building safely. However, Tiffany’s apartment and belongings were damaged, and she is currently unable to stay at her apartment while the property is assessed and renovated.

Anyone who knows Tiffany knows she is an amazing individual with a kind heart and generous spirit. She would go out of her way to help anyone who needed it and would do so with warmth and compassion. She’s the loving “TT” to her young cousin, whom she is raising after his mother’s death. She is also a breast cancer-survivor, and she met that challenge with grace and dignity like she does any challenge that life puts in front of her. She is an active member of her church and very dedicated to the Women’s Ministry program. And while doing all this, Tiffany also began applying to law schools and was also recently accepted into The Ohio State University’s Moritz College of Law.

She’ll be starting the law school journey in the fall, fulfilling a lifelong dream.
There’s no doubt that Tiffany will overcome this latest obstacle. But even the toughest among us can use a little help sometimes. We’re hoping that this GoFundMe can be used to defray the expenses that Tiffany now faces: primarily the costs of temporary lodging and the replacement of her belongings. Tiffany’s life has been turned upside down. She has lost much of what was familiar to her and made her feel at home.
