Ashley’s Quality Care Homecare Agency and many others in the Metropolitan Chicago Area are in a critical state due to the impasse between Governor Rauner and the General Assembly in passing of the Illinois 2016 State Budget according to President/CEO Ms. Frankie J. Redditt.
Ashley’s Quality Care services over 1,000 clients with over 950 employees. Under our contract with IDOA (Illinois Department of Aging) we have not received any payments since June, 2015. Therefore we have approximately $1.5 Million sitting in pending until further notice. Without receiving these payments we cannot meet payroll for homecare aides and staff. As a result our homecare aides and clients are suffering. In order for us to survive we need the Illinois State Budget passed and/or our money released for payments owed to us immediately.
Ashley’s Quality Care has offered high quality home care assistance to non-elderly community with disabilities and the elderly since 1991. The mission of Ashley’s care is to strengthen and safeguard the functioning of our clients in their own homes, which gives them a sense of dignity and independence.
We need your help, Clergy, Politians, Seniors, Homemakers, all interested people. Many homecare agencies are closing because of this issue. How will our Seniors be able to receive services in their homes, how many workers have to be unemployed!
