Help us purchase a New Equipment Trailer for our Community Ski Club!
Agamenticus Ski Club is a registered non-profit organization and a US Ski and Snowboard Member Club, based in York, ME. As the only nordic skiing organization in the greater York region, our club offers high level coaching and individualized instruction for children and teens who are interested in experiencing this lifelong winter activity in a team-oriented and self-competitive environment.
We are in immediate need of an Enclosed Equipment Trailer that is essential for our day-to-day operation. While our practice location changes, the trails are groomed by volunteers with equipment which must be moved and protected. In the past we've relied on the generosity of a few volunteers who no longer have time to help.
With A New Trailer We Will Be Able To:
- Transport our snowmobile and grooming equipment to provide locally groomed trails
- Protect our equipment from weather/environment during the off-season
- Offer a dry and protected space to wax skis before practices and competitions
- Securely store club ski sports equipment
- Transport equipment to practice and race sites
Over the past seven years our community-based ski club has grown tremendously. We provide educational ski programming to Youth, Middle School and now High School Cross-Country Skiers in the Greater York Region, Maine. We offer all members "close-to-home" local ski grooming and an opportunity to participate in a traditional Maine outdoor winter sports activity.
The club relies solely on volunteers, fundraising and skier membership dues to cover all costs. The club receives no school or municipal funding. Please consider donating whatever you are comfortable with - any amount is very much appreciated.
Your donation will help us to continue our service of local cross-country skiing and grooming for the youth in our community. We are truly grateful for your support!
