Artorias' Life Saving Surgery

This is my dear cat Artorias.
On the 26th, we found him in our backyard, unable to walk on his now twisted back legs. We rushed him to the vetenary  hospital, and then our worst fears came true.

His completely twisted leg comes from a fractured and dislocated fibula with slight external damages from the bones pressing on the skin.

And the other injuries include a broken femur, a fractured pelvis, and a slight dislocation of the spinal cord. The latest being non-threatening.

Due to the very few external injuries, the vet ruled out cars or bike impacts, and a bad fall doesn't explain how his front legs are unharmed. We all think he was kicked or hit violently by a person. But with no proof, we can't do anything.

The funds will cover the two surgeries required to make him walk again. The first surgery includes putting the fibula back to where it should be, reattach torn ligaments, and putting a cast on the leg. The second surgery will be to remove the broken part of the femur, and letting the femur attach itself to the pelvis.
This will cover the procedures themselves, the medications afterwards, and other costs. The vet said that thanks to his young age (about 1 year old), if we can afford the procedure he will heal nicely and should be able to walk again.

The procedures need to be done as soon as possible in emergency vetenary hospital. Now he is in terrible pain, and the painkillers can only do so much. At most we can do the surgeries in a couple of days but sooner will be better. And in the worst case scenario, these funds will be used to repay the loan if we need to take one.

Artorias is so much more then a cat to me and my husband. We both suffer from Asperger's Syndrome and the resulting depression and anxiety. Our cats mean the world to us, and we want to help and save them no matter what. They helped us for years as emotional support animals, now we want to help them back.
