We Need a More Permanent Property In the City of Amsterdam to continue to promote our own specially selected rotating artists exhibitions, to continue to run my own award winning Design Studio ...and to incorporate our new fantastic Art B & B project within the metropolitan city
Having completed a year long viability study, and in light of the ridiculous Brexit Fiasco ..... we want/ need a base camp in continental Europe
My name is Aaron Valerio , I have spent the last 15+ years as a self representing Artist and Designer and during that time I have been fortunate enough to work with some of the most exciting companies and individuals within the creative industries across a broad range of projects.( as featured in Time Out London , The evening Herald, The evening Standard , Artists and illustrators online , The Royal Academy Summer Exhibition, The Venetian Biennale , Author of the realartnews.blog, instigator of south east cornwall's 'invest in real art ' campaign and author and illustrator of the recently independently published collection of illustrations '101 reasons'. Although most recently the year long exhibition and showcase In Amsterdam ' Why Not ' delivering the latest series of signature works along side the latest series of designs for integrative design techniques jovially referred to as 're ruralisation of urban spaces ' was the latest in a series of truly groundbreaking exhibitions )

These days I continue to run a small independent Art Gallery and Design Studio in Cornwall in the south west of the U.K whilst continuing to exhibit and collaborate with ground-breaking works and projects the world over, through many of these ongoing relationships often additional projects have emerged and longer term friendships, and as a result I am able to play host to a fantastic range of Artistic talent from around the world who often offer classes and expert tuition in their own disciplines adding a wonderful variety to the constantly evolving education framework which has come to encompass more than simply the creative disciplines, offering short and medium term courses from conscious living to garden design, permaculture to shamanism ( see full price list for full range of courses available )
2017 will prove to be another exciting year in terms of both touring exhibitions and longer term education programmes.and an uncertain one for social political climates
For the summer months ArtbyValerio and Tiffany Art Gallery and design Studio in Cornwall will be operating a traditional carpentry and ship building course from our facilities close to the city of Plymouth where we have acquired a wonderful 20 meter timber workboat due for a full refit and conversion, there will be additional courses in mineralogy, and geological identification field trips as well as our usual courses in the traditional Artistic disciplines and as well as the now annual conscious living courses that run on Dartmoor National Park and also in collaboration with the longest running purely organic farm in the country which is located a short coastal walk from the Gallery in Cornwall a wonderful addition to the artistic experience during the summer months and a very inspiring addition to the traditional conscious ideals of the original craftsmen which permeate every aspect of the creative tendencies and our overall philosophy.
The fantastic experiences we are able to offer are to some degree limited to location which is why last year I ran a twelve month pilot scheme to test the viability of relocating the main base of operations to a prominent position on a high street location in a cosmopolitan urban centre, for many reasons Amsterdam was chosen, and the effective experiment run , with fantastic results.

just last year the Gallery and Studio space held a year long project in the wonderful city of Amsterdam entitled ' Why Not ' @ V's Plaat through the temporary pop up initiative which had to include a full renovation see pictures ....

The basic premise was the traditional gallery and exhibition space within the city centre, simultaneously incorporating the key aspects of the previously successful Architectural/ Permaculture Exhibit ' Re-sessions ' held at 'The Valerio Institute'** in Plymouth in 2012, and revised again for the alternative lifestyle themed ' naughty -call 'Exhibition which toured the south west U.K in 2014 featuring the minimization of the ' Green Star House ' principles ( my own Award winning Architectural design for optimum spatial allocations for human habitation standards ) to a refined single dwelling option which I was able to integrate into a live aboard yacht, A very fresh approach to the tiny house idea that has rapidly gained popularity in recent years .
The Amsterdam project has been a fantastic success ...not only in its own right but subsequently triggering regular parallel exhibitions and workshops in London and further afield, as well as adding a very welcome boost for the notoriety of the original gallery space in Cornwall.
I am now seeking funding to be able to ensure the deposits alone, to be able to secure a suitable building for a longer term lease so that the project will be able to expand to its full capability, a property that we will be able to offer all of the same award winning and highly acclaimed artworks and design delivery that are synonymous with the name Art by Valerio and Tiffany Gallery as well as being able to offer both holiday accommodations and immersive artistic experiences from the same location. this does have a viable connection to the digital nomad philosophy and could also appeal to any remote operatives within a broad range of creative occupations.

As the ' 101 Reasons to chose a vocation in the creative industries ' suggests ....sometimes I will be mining for silver ore in the wild westcountry of the u.k or building a pirate ship in some remote wooded estuary , it is quite possible that I will be running my fantastically popular ' build a dinosaur ' workshops for children and adults alike in collaboration with a local university or even excavating /studying / rendering an actual full scale palaeontological replica for a museum some where .... it is of course more than likely that amongst all of this I may well be holding a series of actual Art Classes and /or even working on an original Painting of my own , and the idea behind the Art B&B is that I am doing this bizarre and diverse eclectic selection of things ...and now have the facilities to offer that same level of tactility to you ... you can either come and join me in one of these bases of operations while I am up to some mischief .... or you can come and stay in one of these places in my absence and work with one of the wonderful masters of a particular trade whose work will be ongoing in parallel to my own ( check calendar of events ) ...or you can use this creative stew as a base to build your own bespoke experience in the wilderness of the westcountry ...or the City scape of Amsterdam Land .
Ideally I would seek a minimum space of 200 sqm ( although the design aspect can be incorporated into any footprint allowing some flexibility in specification ) within easy reach of the main internal canal network of the city.
This space will be open and trading as a gallery and design studio within 3 weeks and would then be able to advertised the intended Art B & B ( for which steady interest in bookings is still being maintained )
Having spent much time considering property options within the city I have produced an evaluation and breakdown of cost and using the figures from the current operational business plan and have assessed that the Gallery alone within the the city centre would be a tremendous asset to our ongoing creative education paradigm and traditional gallery
This is not including any of the continual outside projects /classes / workshops/ collaborations and bookings
I wish to reiterate that the funding currently sought is for a completely refundable ( albeit overpriced ) deposit structure which would be fully refundable at the end of the tenancy ....
Alternatively investors could offer a full non refundable sum in exchange for a percentage based repayment scheme .....
And of course potential investors are always welcome in the spirit of the crowdfunding / Kickstarter ideals to exchange pledges for exclusive stock items / design services and or Art B&B experiences in either locations ( t's and c's apply ) .
