Help Salman Walk Again:Medical Fund
$35,745 of $150,000 goal
Salman is a junior at Parkview High School. He has suffered an aneurism and is currently in the hospital.
His road to recovery will be a long one.
Salman's family needs your prayers and any financial support that you can give them. The money will go to the mounting medical bills the family will incur and any other expenses that they come across on his long journey of recovery.
The Parkview Family is a big one and we hope that you all will tell your friends about the Panjwani Family and their needs. Any help you can give is much appreciated!
We wanted to share an update about Salman's progress.
t’s Salman’s birthday today! Happy Birthday Salman!
Last year, on his birthday, Salman was undergoing surgery for a VP shunt to relieve pressure on the brain caused by fluid accumulation. This year he is able to enjoy his special day with his loved ones and we are delighted to have him amongst us.
Salman’s road to recovery is still lengthy and arduous but he is in high spirits and his number one goal is to leave the wheelchair behind and walk again. He is a determined young man and is working very hard to regain his independence. Thanks to everyone for your continued prayers, love and support.
We would like to express our gratitude to family, friends and well wishers for their assistance and financial support which will, no doubt, help Salman to accomplish his goal.
I am attaching two photographs of Salman enjoying an early birthday and spring fling with his brother.
Best wishes for 2017 to everyone – We are amazed that WSB-TV in Atlanta did a segment on Salman (see the link below) during the holidays when the family expressed a desire to raise awareness about AVM (arteriovenous malformation). We were touched that Salman’s story was aired on December 14th. No one has to go through what Salman had to endure due to AVM. It has robbed him from living a happy healthy life as a normal teenager.
Salman is still wheelchair bound due to the stroke caused by AVM. He had stage 4 brain hemorrhage which is severe and bleeds directly into brain tissues reducing vital blood flow to the brain killing the brain cells.
Salman is going to Shepherd Center’s Beyond Therapy Program for rehabilitation therapy. Beyond Therapy is a totally self-pay program and is not covered by insurance. We also need a wheelchair equipped van to transport Salman to and from his therapy sessions. We have a long and tough road ahead but we are hopeful there are generous people out there who want to support Salman’s desire to live a normal life.
Thank you for all your support and continued prayers.
I hope he recovers soon
My son went through the same exact thing. He was 9 years old when he had his stroke from AVM.HE symptoms he had a was a real bad headache.Nothing prior to the onset..He too was paralyzed on his right side. But have hope.Thats all we relied on when Dr's told us if he could not walk, talk or even remember us.With time he slowly was coming back.He had intense therapies for 2 years. But he survived his ordeal.Today he is 12, an honor roll student and h fought hard to where he is today.Even though his right hand is paralyzed, We still have hope he will use it again.Love and light through this journey.Mirackes do hapoen.
God Bless You
Shukhran Alhamdullilah.. Praise the Lord.
