Armed Robbery Victim Katy McNamer

Friends and family, our hearts are broken.  One of our closest and best friends lost his life last weekend during an armed robbery in his home in Denver.  Blaine Roussa was shot and killed trying to save the life of Katy McNamer, the love of his life.  He was only in his mid-thirties.  Katy tried valiantly to stop the bleeding to save his life until paramedics arrived, but he never made it to the hospital.  She confronted the two gunmen to get to Blaine so she could help him.

His family has gofundme drives working well for his funeral and expenses.  This fund is to help Katy at this horrible time.  She lived with Blaine and is now homeless since she is terrified that they will come back to the apt. and kill her to silence her.  She is one of only two witnesses to the murder and the two killers are still at large.  She has a good job but is so terrified and traumatized that she has not been able to work yet.  They took what little money they had so she literally has lost everything.  I am hoping to raise enough money so she can pay up-front costs to get into a different apartment where they cannot find her.  She is a sweet and loving young woman and our hearts hurt so much for what she has gone through and is facing. 

Blaine was the most kind and wonderful person that you would ever meet.  He has taken care of our home for the last several years and was always there when he was needed.  He was often in our home for meals or card games or just to visit.  We know his only wish would be that someone help Katy whom he loved so much.
