Recovery From Surgery- Ariana

For those of you that know my sister, you know she has been dealt a very bad hand in life. My sister developed Type 1 diabetes at the age of 18. Not long after that, she was in a car accident and fractured 7 vertebrae in her back. For us, we thought this was a bad hand, but we can handle it. Once things finally got back on track for her, another injury came about putting her career on hold. Ariana now needed surgery for her dominate hand. This injury to her hand happened during an internship for her qualifying hours. In October of 2016, she gave birth to a beautiful baby boy named Aiden. Things seemed to be looking up, due to the love she now felt for her son. Only a few weeks ago she was hit with more bad news, hospitalized and diagnosed with gastroparesis. Gastroparesis is a condition that is caused by damage to the nerves that control your stomach muscles. For us, this was the worst news we could get, or so we thought at the time. Shortly after this diagnosis she went to her eye doctor only to find out even more bad news. She has cataracts in both eyes due to her illnesses, and all the medications needed to address them.

It wasn't until she reached out to Monica from PIX 11's segment Monica making it happen did things start to turn around. After a month of fighting with the doctors, insurance company and trying to raise the money are we seeing the light!!

1 hour after the segment aired we found out that the doctor was completing the surgery Pro bono and we couldn't be more grateful! We are now using this page to raise money to help in the recovery of the surgery. We thank everyone that tried to help us and continue to do so. You all are true rockstars!!

My sister is going through a lot of obstacles in her life, and at the young age of 25, it still continues. She needs to provide for her son and now she will be able to watch him grow.
