Aren't We a Pair: Heart Surgery and a Torn ACL

Donation protected
They say the best place to start is beginning so...

In 2017 I broke my ankle (hospital visit 1). Which led to a pulmonary embolism (hv2). Which, due to stress from the pain, flared an undiagnosed Supraventricular tachycardia (SVT) (hv2.5 in ICU). My heart was beating upwards of 230 bpm! On Feb 15th of this year I had minor heart surgery to fix the SVT (hv3). Everything went great. Then, less than a week later, on Feb 21st, my husband was rushed to the hospital (hv4) due to knee injury. Following several scans and an MRI, it was confirmed he completely tore his ACL. Within the next few weeks he will need reconstructive surgery (hv5).

It isn’t like we’re getting HUGE bills (though a handful have been close to 10% of my annual salary... working 2-3 jobs). It’s more that the bills have begun to add up. Right now the goal is to catch up in preparation for the bills still yet to come. (I.e., we still have not received the quote for my husband's reconstruction surgery.) Kinda give our budget a reboot.

Thank you for taking some time to read our story and all the help. :)
