Arcata Presbyterian Church Fire

A 28-year-old-man and the entryway of the Arcata Presbyterian Church were burned in fire on September 16, 2017.

This fire was a deliberate arson attack by an individual who is still at large.  The victim was treated for severe burns to his face and hands at a local hospital and is now being treated at the UC Davis Medical Center Burn Unit.  The church was severely damaged in the fire.

The Arcata Interfaith Gospel Choir (AIGC) is saddened by the attack on this individual and to the church. The AIGC has been using the Arcata Presbyterian Church for rehearsals and concerts since 1992, and we love this beautiful 100-year-old Arcata landmark.

AIGC is sponsoring this GoFundMe campaign to help repair the church and help pay for treatment of the burn victim. All proceeds from this campaign will go directly to the Arcata Presbyterian Church to repair the damage from the fire and to help defray the cost of treating the burn victim.
