The video above tells the stories of Matthew, Tom, and Joyce, all individuals receiving services from The Arc of Chester County. These individuals and their families rely on the services that they receive from The Arc so that they can thrive in their communities.
Matthew, a four year old, received services from therapists in his home and then enrolled in The Arc’s inclusive preschool program where he is currently thriving.
Tom and his family have received services from The Arc of Chester County since he was 3 months old beginning with early intervention then, advocacy as he made his way through the school system. He currently receives our In-Home and Community supports, participates in our recreation program, and is self-directing some of his services using the Agency With Choice program.
Joyce has received our In Home and Community supports for decades that have allowed her to age in place and live independently and successfully in her own home. She has also been employed by The Arc for over twenty years.
The services provided to each of these individuals, and their families, are funded through various programs, however, the cost of service delivery is not fully covered by the fees set by the government. For this reason, The Arc of Chester County is committed to raising the funding necessary to bridge the gap in funding. We are asking you for your help.
In order to continue to provide these services to people like Matthew, Tom, and Joyce, on April 21, 2018, The Arc of Chester County will host its annual Run/Walk and Fun Day. The funds raised this day will go to support individuals with disabilities and their families. You can help. Your gift today ensures the supports and services that these three individuals receive will be available for them and those in the future.
