Let's See Hamilton!.. A Web Series

WHO LIVES. WHO DIES. WHO WINS THE LOTTERY.
Hi. I'm Liz. You might remember me from such memorable facebook statuses as:
"I feel like Donald Trump would really like me- like he would give me a gold star and make me wear it everywhere."
And
"I REALLY WANT A PINT OF BEN AND JERRY'S BUT THANK GOD I HAVE THESE GRAPES IT'S PRACTICALLY THE SAME THING IF YOU CLOSE YOUR EYES AND BANG YOUR HEAD AGAINST THE WALL. #YUM"
Anyway. I wrote a web series. It's really funny! And all of your friends are in it! Friends such as Kennedy Kanagawa, Will Porter, Elijah Caldwell and Lin Manuel Miranda**
This series has everything: comedy, intrigue, nemeses and the Sisyphean journey to procure tickets to a VERY POPULAR BROADWAY MUSICAL.
We have two episodes written and ready to go and will be shooting the first week of March (which is so soon, you guys.) This is a labor of immense love and, right now, everyone is volunteering their time or renting equipment out of pocket. However, a little money will go a long way in this little engine that could sitch.
If you happen to have to five bucks, burning a hole in your pocket, here are some of the ways in which we would use your money:
-Equipment rentals.
-A stipend for a camera and/or sound op.
-Food/water/craft services for the cast and crew.
-Transportation/gas money.
-Tickets to Hamilton***
Listen. Asking for money for your passion project is icky. I know that. You know that. But, as the incomparable Amanda Palmer says in "The Art of Asking":
“Asking for help with shame says:
You have the power over me.
Asking with condescension says:
I have the power over you.
But asking for help with gratitude says:
We have the power to help each other.”
So here I am. Unabashedly asking with only gratitude and love in my heart. Thank you for reading. Catch you on the flippity.
Look out for our teaser coming SOOOOOON!
Liz
**Lin Manuel Miranda will not be appearing in this web series. AS OF RIGHT NOW.
*** We will not use your five dollars to buy tickets to Hamilton. Probably. No, we won't.
