Annie's Special Needs
Hello everyone!
We are Kat and Rae, here on behalf of an amazing couple we met about six months ago. Annie and Joe live across the street in a senior living facility. They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary this year! For many years they traveled in a motor home for Annie's
health. Spending the warm dry winters in the deserts to the coast or the mountains in the summer.
Annie was diagnosed with muscular dystrophy as a young woman. This lovely lady has been suffering from two autoimmune diseases for a long time. She was in an auto accident in Glendale California five years ago, and is not recovering well. Annie is in much pain. Two years ago the disease that every woman dreads has come upon her, breast cancer! Her vision is deteriorating from cataracts and Macular
degeneration.
The facility they reside at is under major renovation, and the owner's future plans are to convert it to accommodate residents who
require memory care, so they need to find a new home.
Although Annie has medical insurance many of the costs related to her care and recovery are not covered. They are having a hard time
finding doctors willing to work with Annie, because she cannot tolerate many of the treatments and prescriptions suggested by medical protocol. If you are a compassionate doctor, or other health care provider who would like to help please contact us.
Our intention is to raise money to help with her medical costs, and to to relocate to a larger, more comfortable place to live. Your
donations will help us to reach this goal. Any amount is appreciated!
Much Love<3

Here is an update on Annie's breast cancer lump. We went through 3 months of doctor visits, lab tests, etc. We had it all set and then
when in the pre-op area for 3 hours, the surgeon came in and cancelled the operation. Of course there is lot untold here, but the bottom line is no surgery !
We looked for another surgeon, and another option appeared as a best choice. It is a procedure called "cryoablation". It is a procedure
where very cold nitrogen (145 below 0) is delivered into the cancer tumor where it kills the cancer cells. No surgery, no sedation, no
recovery time. Annie's other medical conditions make this way to rid her body of the tumor the way to go. The tough part is raising about $7,000 to $10,000 to pay for the doctor to freeze the cancer cells.
Please spread the word in your circle of friends. We appreciate all donations of any amount.
Thanks, Annie & Joe
