Thank you for taking the time to look at our fundraising campaign! Anna and The Annadroids are thrilled to be working on a new multimedia dance and aerial performance piece, titled Multiverse, and we need your help to present it both in Columbus, Ohio and San Francisco this spring!
Who are Anna and The Annadroids?
We are a troupe of female dancers and aerialists who create cutting edge multimedia dance and aerial productions supported by surreal video environments. We present everything from full length, partial, and site specific work as well as roaming entertainment for community, corporate, and other special events. Our unique fusion of intriguing choreography, graceful aerials, fashion, music, video technologies, and relevant concepts, relating to pop culture, truly attracts audiences from many different genres.
What are we raising money for?
Our upcoming show, Multiverse, fuses athletic contemporary dance with graceful aerial arts, dramatic fashion design, illustrations, powerful music, and surreal video environments. The show will touch on current scientific notions and theories concerning the nature and makeup of the universe, taking our audience on a journey that explores beyond the three dimensions we are familiar with and into a world of the unknown. Multiverse explores ideas of parallel universes, time travel, black holes, and other scientific theories that reach farther than our present understanding of the universe. It will also give audience members reasons to reflect upon the nature and makeup of the social universe each one of them thoughtfully constructs or robotically conforms to individually. Bacially it is going to be a stellar show that is sure to entertain and inspire!
Where will it take place?
Multiverse is scheduled to take place in Columbus, Ohio at The Riffe Center - Studio One on April 12th, 13th and 14th, as well as, Dance Mission Theater in San Francisco May 4th, 5th, and 6th this year. We are super excited to present this show in both of these cities but we do need your help!
Where will the money go?
This project is supported in part by the Greater Columbus Arts Council and in part by local sponsorships and crowdfunding efforts. Our GoFundMe fundraising goal of at least $6,000 will go directly towards a few very specific elements of this production:
$2500 goes toward matching the grant of $2500 granted to us from the GCAC. These funds go directly toward presenting our show in Columbus, Ohio this April.
$2500 of the funds will go toward the theater costs of presenting our show at Dance Mission Theater in San Francisco this May.
The remainder of the funds ($1000) will go toward purchasing our merchandising for the fundraising such as hoodies, calendars, tote bags, stickers, ect. These items play a large role in helping us raise the money needed to make our production possible.
Anything over and above this amount will go directly into paying the artists who work so hard on the creation and presentation of the production.
What are we offering to our doners?
Once the campaign ends we will ship out the items, except for the calendars, those will be shipped out within two days of making the donation.
