Ann Brebner's Home Care

This is Anne Lamott reaching out on behalf of my dear friend of 35 years, Ann Brebner.  The doyenne of the Marin and San Francisco theatre and movieworlds, (she founded the MarinShakespeare Company, was casting director for some of your favorite movies), a lifelong humanitarian, she is 93 now, and failing rapidly.  Her friends and I have been providing 24/7 home care for her in the three months since she began spiralling downwards, cognitiviely and physically.  However, a few weeks ago, she transitioned into needing 24/7 skilled nursing.  It costs $20,000 a month (yikes).  She has much less than that in the bank.  Hospice has been fantastic but we urgently need outside help to raise a month's worth of home care from the greater community.  thank you and love and God bless you GOOD.
