We're told Pember County, NC is in desperate need of assistance and will be out next stop, hopefully by this time next week! The church has been set up as a staging and distribution location and the middle school is serving as shelter for families with pets.
We're receiving reports animals are starving and they are desperately low on horse feed and hay. We'll be placing an order with Hudson Hardware on Monday to be delivered to the church and distributed to those in need, if you'd like to donate towards the horses, please note HORSES with your donation. The more donations the more feed and hay we can purchase on Monday.

From Holli: Megan had to go with a highway patrol escort yesterday into the worst flood area through 2 feet of moving water to get where she was needed. Once in the area the dam breached and left them locked in. All roads impassable and the last bridge to get out collapsed. So they spent the night at the Humane Society in Burgaw. The water yesterday was 12-14' deep with stage 3 moving rapids, so they halted all water rescue. This morning the rapids had calmed some so they went to a property to rescue cats stuck in barn rafters. After the cats were safe they went to a location where alpacas were stuck and assisted in getting them to high ground. They then went to a property where 5 horses were stuck and she and Jessica literally swam in the water to bring them to high ground. All 5 made it safely. She said she worked with a crew that looked like something from Duck Dynasty and they were awesome. Kudos to our Suwannee County ladies for a tough day's work!" We are so grateful to be a part of such a wonderful network of caring and dedicated people. Your support helped make this possible, donations provided support for rescuers (gas, generator, crates, supplies) and the animals (food, nutrical, supplements, meds) and we're humbled and thankful for each and every share, prayer, and donation - THANK YOU! There is still much to be done, let's keep up the great work! Together we can make a difference! <3
