Angels for Richard
I told him a little bit about my business and what he can help me with! He began to tell me about how he got laid off a few months ago and has really been struggling to keep his feet on the ground he's on the verge of being evicted from his apartment and he was so embarrassed to be standing on the side of the road asking for money but he had to do what he has to do to get his cell phone cut back on so he could get hired!
He repeatedly said that he wasn't a lazy bum he is a tree climber and cutter and has worked in that field for 20 years! He just a good guy having a hard time and had exhausted all of his resources! He said that people would drive past him and yell out get a job you stupid lazy bum not knowing he has submitted over 20 applications and have not heard anything back! Then with his cell phone being cut off he had no way for businesses to get in contact with him he would have to call in and check on his application which resulted in him missing a lot of jobs!!!! So God told me to pay for his cell phone and not only did I pay for it one month but I paid for two months!!!! This man cried in AT&T! I told him it was all God! And to not let ignorant people hurt him!
The point of me sharing this is to show that there is power and purpose in being obedient to God and helping people who have fallen! It could one day be us!!!!
As soon as his cell phone got cut back on he got a text message and he read it to me while we were at lunch! It was from one of the job that he applied to saying that he could possibly have a job in two weeks in Kenai!!!! Wow!!!!!! Gods timing is perfect!
Stop judging the homeless and struggling! Not everyone is lazy and an addict! It might be you one day! Extend your hand don't point it!
Pray for Richard that he can get the money he needs to keep his place and that he gets the job! I spent 2 hours with him and we are now friends!
The money will help him pay on his rent and get a little car to get to work
Just an update: as some of you may know Richard found out about a couple weeks ago that his father's short battle with cancer had spread into brainstem cancer! Well I am sad to report that his father died on Father's Day. He had not seen him in five years and although he was not able to see his father before he passed due to your kindness, donations, and prayers he was able to purchase a ticket to attend his father's funeral in Washington! He left tues And while he is there he was given an opportunity to work for six months! I would like to thank everyone who have donated and prayed! When we first started this journey we had no idea what was going to take place and how many people would respond, I am completely amazed at the level of generosity that we have encountered through this whole process. We had no idea that this tragic situation would take place but Richard is so grateful for all of the kindness that has allowed him to say goodbye to his dad and get a new start on life!!!! Thank you and may God Bless you!

Thank you everyone for the love you have shown my son. I live in Wa. and am on disibility and can't even help my own son. I've been praying for Rich, that God would put someone in his path to show him that God is there and is real. Rich has had some bad times and made some wrong decisions but wants to do good and just needs a hand up. My son is a good person and is now coming to see that God is his loving Father. A mothers prayers are stronger than the devil. God bless you Richard. I love you more than anything.
O wish I could help. I'm homeless myself and have been struggling to get back on my feet. There are days I go without eating. I'm working but it's hard when you fall so low. I pray this man is able to keep his place as I wasn't. Sending prayers to him and blessings to you for having a kind heart when so many others just look the other way.
I am curious after getting an odd email, " Richard has to set up a bank account and give that information to go fund me! We took to long to complete this process so no donations can be made until an account is on file! So please check back after June 10 Thank you!!!! " If Richard does not set up an account, how will he get the money we donated? What will happen to it? How will he find out he needs to set up a bank account? Poor Richard, God Bless you.
I wish had cash to help but I to am in a MAJOR hard spot myself and I am trusting God the Father for a miracle. But I believe in the power of prayers. And while I cannot give cash. I will say I am adding him to my daily prayers as well as the prayer chain at church. Feel free to add me on Facebook Maria F. Bonner. God loves us all and he will indeed meet all his needs. God Bless to all.
