An Egg a Day in Donkwoa

¡Ayúdanos a criar gallinas!
DONKOWA es una pequeña aldea en Ghana donde su principal actividad es la agricultura, sin embargo la disponibilidad de alimentos es limitada. ¡An egg a day! Es una propuesta donde 40 niños se verán beneficiados. Éstos asisten a la escuela de la aldea, la cual fue recientemente construida por su actual director Peter Mensah, ya que no podían viajar todos los días 8km a la escuela mas cercana. Los niños reciben una comida durante su estancia en la escuela. El proyecto consiste en construir un GALLINERO con ayuda de los locales, en el cual 50 gallinas serán criadas, con el fin de que los niños consuman HUEVO la mayor parte de la semana e incrementen su consumo de proteína. La idea es volver esa comida lo más COMPLETA y NUTRITIVA posible, ya que por desgracia para algunos niños es la única que reciben al día. ¡Esperamos puedas formar parte de este proyecto brindándonos tu apoyo económico!

We're raising chickens!
In the tiny village of Donkwoa-Ghana 40 children attend a small, open room schoolhouse. The headmaster started this school for the children who cannot travel the 8KM to the only other school in the area. These children receive 1 meal per day while they are at school and we are trying to make it a more NUTRITIOUS  meal as it can sometimes be the only food they receive in a day. The availability of food in the area is limited. With the help of many locals we are building a CHICKEN COOP and plan to raise 50 chickens with the hope that each child will receive at least a few EGGS per week to increase their protein intake.
