My name is Andrew Lopatin and I'm the Guitar Virtuoso :) I'm a performer and composer of every style of guitar; mostly fingerstyle and classical. My show is called "The Virtuoso Show" and it's pretty much just like it sounds; I perform many styles of guitar that people have never seen before! Here's a few links:

Four years ago, I escaped the 9-5 lifestyle and threw myself into music as a full-time passion and income. Much to my surprise, I was very successful and lived comfortably and solely off my guitar. I've completed four international tours with two albums and taken part in 100s of festivals and corporate events. In addition to that, I have an extensive resume of performances at weddings and private engagements.
This lifestyle made me so happy that I immersed myself in it 12 hours a day, 5 days a week, with practices and recordings on the weekends. And that's where I made my mistake...
So much performing for so long has deteriorated my hands to the point that I could no longer keep up with the lifestyle, and I'm only 25...
So in order to continue performing, I stopped accepting gigs in the off season and picked up a day job. Luckily, I still get my summers off three months at a time to go touring. However, the 9-5 lifestyle does not provide enough money or free time to afford proper album recordings.
For the past two tours, I've felt more and more ashamed to tell my fans that I STILL couldn't make another album. Every time I've recorded an album, I ended up touring whilst stressed because funding the album costed me about $10,000 that came right out of my CREDIT CARDS. This time will be different, I MUST come back with something new and do it right!

What I aim to accomplish here is to raise enough money to afford recording, licensing, and manufacturing my third album.
The $5,000 goal is an absolute minimum for an individual artist to record an album with a great quality sound. And here's why 5K is so important:
- Decent recording equipment including another three to six microphones and a 6 to 8 channel digital interface will cost AT LEAST $1,500; and that's just for basic gear that a skillful recording artist can make sound better than the equipment really is.
- Since this will be a cover album twisted around my style of performance, I MUST purchase replication rights for each composer and producer, which will cost around $2,000 for the 12 songs that I intend to record.
- Manufacturing this album will cost just a hair over $1,500 for 1000 professionaly made copies with Duplium.

I'm hoping to reach this amount by spring-time, which will allow me enough time to perfect, record, design, license, and manufacture the album. This not only means a lot to me but also a whole lot to my fans who have been waiting patiently for more of my music.
I don't believe in recieving without giving and will NOT allow it. For that reason, I'm offering an incentive to my funders so you feel like you're gaining something by donating. And here it is:
Every funder that makes a donation of at least $10 will recieve my third album on-the-house in hardcopy and digital as my thanks!
...considering we reach the goal, of course :)
My albums sells for $20 a piece. So, if you like my music and would like to have it at home, you will be saving 50% off the regular price.
Everything that this money will be spent on will be documented, photographed, and uploaded either here or on my Facebook page with all associated reciepts.
