Medical Expenses for Andrea Steiert
We are raising money for Andrea Steiert’s medical expenses and needs. She has been battling Multiple Sclerosis for well over 20 years and has reached a point where more medical equipment and assistance are required, often not covered or not fully covered by insurance. In multiple sclerosis, damage to the myelin in the central nervous system (CNS) — and to the nerve fibers themselves — interferes with the transmission of nerve signals between the brain and spinal cord and other parts of the body.
Her devoted husband, Patrick Steiert, has been her full time care taker for over 10 years, since his retirement from the Army. In spite of the challenges, he has pushed on without complaint or even assistance, until recently it became obvious to all of us through multiple hospital stays that professional medical assistance will be needed for her.
Andrea raised two children while Patrick served in the Army, and even as her MS progressed, she remained strong, kind, and full of joy. She has an infectious laugh and one of the sweetest smiles you will ever see. Her heart is pure, and if she’s ever met you, you can believe that she has prayed for you.
All donations will be used to cover or offset the cost of medical equipment, medical assistance and therapies, doctors’ visits, hospital stays, or any modifications their home may still need to support the best lifestyle for her.
