This campaign is for my daughter and grand-daughter.  My daughter has recently been diagnosed with Thyroid cancer and Lung cancer.  At 24 weeks pregnant she experienced her first lung collapse due to a tumor on her lung bursting.  Since then, she has had 3 more collapsed lungs and has gone under 2 surgeries to repair, and hopefully prevent, another collapse on both lungs.  She has spent a total of 4 weeks in the hospital and has been unable to return to work.  At 29 weeks pregnant she began her first of 6 rounds of chemo-therapy.  The doctors have still yet to deterime where the lung cancer is coming from and more tests will be needed once our grand-daughter is born.  She will be delivered via c-section in order to prevent Andrea's lungs from possiblly collapsing again during labor.  Between having a pre-mature baby and all the medical appointments in the days and weeks to come, a return to work does not seem possible at this time.  Our family is asking for your prayers  and financial help for our daughter and grand daughter pay all their medical bills that have been piling up while going through this very unexpected medical tragedy.

Hey everyone! just a quick update on ne. I spent labor day weekend in the hospital and got home on Tuesday. Friday night I started coughing up a Dixie cup full of blood and I thought my lung was going to collapse, so my mom called me an ambulance. After a bunch of tests, it came to show that one of my cysts on my left lung had grown into an artery, causing it to bleed. On the CT it shows the cyst full of blood. They kept me top make sure it didn't rupture and bleed out again. if it happens again, they said they will probably have to cut out nearly half of my left lung!! I can't afford to lose any part of any lung. As it stands now, the cyst is still full of blood and hopefully will not cause any issues in my left lung, like bleeding.

Im very scared and nervous that this cyst will pop or blow any minute. So many thoughts and prayers would be very welcomed. I also need any donations you can afford. With the stay in the hospital, it caused a lot of extra bills with the stay itself, the medicines, and the state decided to cut a lot of money from me for some reason and I haven't been well enough to check on why I didn't get my full amount. With not getting my full amount, I might lose my house and my car bc I can't afford everything as well as food and stuff. and Cora's birthday is next month. Ugh, i'm so stressed and the doctor said that may be causing some of my issues! I wish I could work again so this wasn't an issue anymore.

Thank you all again for everyone who's helped me by sharing this, donated, and prayed for me. I wish money wasn't my issues, but this month, I need a LOT of financial help! Thank you for understanding! xoxo

Hey everyone! I hope everyone is doing well. my latest today is this...

I spent over 7 weeks in the hospital this summer. Come to find out, I have a triple lung infection that I have to battle before I can resume any cancer treatment. the infections are para influenza, aspergillus, and 1 more I can't remember the name of. the resulting effects are that I need to wear an oxygen mask all the time and do a nebulizer twice a day. Because I've been in the hospital so much this summer, I desperately need help with bills, insurance payments, any kind of help anyone can spare. Thank you everything who has donated multiple times, or even just 1 time! Because I can't work, any amount of money that is gifted to me is a blessing, especially because they're small and rare these days! I'm so grateful for everyone in my life! xoxo Love, Andrea

Hey everyone! Here's the latest update. I went and saw my oncologist for the results of my bronchoscopy. He said all of them are not back yet, as they are still trying to grow stuff, but they know for sure that I don't have the same lung fungal infection I've had since June of this year. That's great and bad news as it could be a different infection, the spread of the cancer in a new way, or nothing at all.

Here's the good news, the results of a genetic test they did on my arm biopsy finally came back and showed what medications (treatments) might kill this thing, and there just so happens to be a trial going on at Henry ford that's using these treatments!

I start my first treatments on December 13th! Have you seen on tv the commercial for Opdivo (used for treatment in non small cell lung cancer)? I guess it's also used for a variety of other cancers. They haven't used it yet on my type of thyroid cancer, but according to the testing, this should hopefully work, along with another medication called Ipi, for short.

There are obviously many side affects that might occur with these medications, the biggest one being flu like symptoms (fever, chills, fatigue, and tummy issues). With luck and prayers ill feel better by Christmas.

I'm hoping someone that's reading this is able to help me with Christmas this year. The last couple of years my family and I have been "adopted" and we were able to have a Christmas (even though last year I was in the hospital). I'm not sure if there are any programs that help family's this close to Christmas, but I'm open to anything.

Im asking for help as the medical bills have been over whelming right now with getting so many tests done, the amount of times I've been in and out of the hospital the last few months, and the medications I'm on (co-pays are ridiculous! )

I am so grateful for everyone that has donated and continued to share my story. I wouldn't have my home, car, and food on the table if it weren't for the kindness of friends, family, and strangers that have continued to help me throughout my battle! I'm so honored people share their hard earned money with me. I wish I could pay each one of you back!

I'll update everyone again after I start my treatment to let you know how it's going. Love you all so much for your support, prayers, love, and donations. I really wouldn't be here without you guys! Xoxo

Went to my pulmonary function test today, and the results actually showed my lung function is slightly less than normal, which is amazing for everything I've gone through and going through. It also means I would be potentially okay for my surgery, the next step to getting cleared is the bronchoscopy. I have that scheduled for tomorrow morning at 8am down at Henry Ford main campus. It is suppose to be an out-patient, so pray everything goes according to plan.

The plan for the bronch is to go in and take several pre-determined biopsies, mainly in my right lung from my understanding, and also do a flush of my lungs. They will send my samples to the labs and to pathology to determine what the heck is going on in my lungs. Once they do that, they'll let me know if and when I can proceed with my arm surgery, and what type of chemo I might need as well. Originally they thought it was my original lung infection, but it doesn't seem to be going away, for one. And for two, it's starting to present differently.

I'm going to post several pictures showing the comparison of my lungs from September, until a month later (on the right) showing new growth of stuff that looks hazy or hard nodules. They are going to determine if this is cancer, or some sort of infection or something else. God willing it's something very treatable with 1 simple medication. I'm REALLY in need of hearing that I have an easy to treat condition, rather than some rare, crazy issue.

I'm praying that I will be home in time to spend Thanksgiving with my friends, family, but most of all, my daughter. As well as make it to maybe some black Friday sales so I can take advantage of any and all great deals. It's what I need to do or else I don't think I'll be able to afford to pay all these mounting medical bills AND make it a special Christmas for my beautiful baby girl.

Thank you all for so many well wishes, prayers, donations and sharing my cause with your friends and family! I don't know what else to do as I'm unable to work, and haven't worked in over 2 years. I miss being able to support myself and my family. My savings is completely gone and it's not like I can work any over time to help pay my extra bills. I REALLY hope everyone knows how incredibly grateful I am for the precious gift of financial assistance, especially during this time of year! Happy Thanksgiving everyone !!! Xoxo
