Anacortes Regeneration Project

$950 of $15,000 goal

Turning guns into art. The Anacortes Regeneration Project is a collaborative effort by artists, churches and citizens in Anacortes, Washington to encourage people to think about guns in a more profound way.

Guns brought to Seafarers Memorial Park on September 15, 2018 will be placed in a forge—the first step towards being regenerated into art.

These guns will then be made into artwork and displayed at various venues in Anacortes.

The public artwork will be titled "Peaceful Life on Fidalgo Island," to remember the victims of gun violence and to honor Anacortes first responders who secure our community's safety, order and security.

The funds raised via GoFundMe will cover the cost of artist stipends, materials used by the artists, and installation costs.

Payments will be made through the Anacortes Community Health Council, a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit that has served Anacortes since 1994 and is proud to be the fiscal agent for this effort. (All donations are fully tax deductible.)
