An American Dream of Swedish Baseball Kids

Make the dream of a life time come true for a Swedish Youth Baseball Team!
Baseball is an extremely small sport in Sweden and finds it self in the shadow of especially soccer and ice hockey. All in all there are no more than just shy of a thousand active players in all of Sweden! However the passion and the love of the game stays the same and our youth players really live and breath baseball! They are 100% devoted to the sport 24/7. We would really like to give them a chance to experience baseball for real - in the US.
We have, as a club, worked long and hard to save money to make this trip (45% of funding). In addition our players and coaches will contribute themselves for the journey of a lifetime (30% of funding). However we are still a bit short of making this dream come true for the kids and we kindly ask for your help in this (25% of funding)! The fund raising will be divided into three main areas; Crowd Funding (SEK 75,000), Organizational Sponsorship (SEK 50,000) and Community scholarships/grants (SEK25.000)
Our plan is to go to Wheaton in Chicago, Illinois next year in June for this 10 day magical adventure. It will be about 40 youth players, ages 9-16 and their coaches. During this time we intend to:
* Train on proper baseball fields and full scope facilities
* Tap into the US coaching resources
* Practice, play games and interact with local teams
* Catch MLB/MiLB ball games
* Meet new friends from another culture
* Follow in the footsteps of the Swedish immigrants of the 19th century
* Host a traditional Swedish Midsummer Celebration on June 22nd
