What's Happening
Amy is a strong, beautiful and brave woman who I am more than gratful to call my mom. She has recently been diagnosed with stage 3 colon cancer and is attacking it head on with the best attitude anyone could have. This came as a surprise to us all and is going to be a difficult time for her and our family. She will be traveling to Philadelphia to receive treatment for 6 weeks staying in housing there for the majority of that time.

Treatment
This week she is having 2 surgeries to prepare her for chemo and radiation. She will need daily radiation therapy Monday through Friday and 2 rounds of chemo. This will all happen within a 6 week period starting around the second week of March, so very soon! Unfortunatly my mom will not be able to stay home for her treatment she will be staying in Philadelphia.

How You Will Be Helping
This is where we need your help! Because my mom will not be getting her treatment from home all of our family will be traveling from Clarks Summit to Philadelphia on a regular basis ( just over a 2 hour drive one way) to be with her and help out as much as possible. We will also be traveling whenever possible to bring my 7 year old brother to visit. With him being in school and the hospital housing not allowing children under 18 to stay there it is going to be a very tough adjustment for him and her to be away from each other. So we are going to try and make it as easy as possible for him by being able to bring him to see her whenever possible.

Where Your Donations Will Go
Your donations will be used towards her treatment costs that will not be fully cover by insurance and for our family to be able to travel back and forth between home and Philadelphia for the next 6 weeks without worry.
