Amrik's 'Common Bench' Memorial

A controversial wordsmith, a renowned journalist, an ambitious business man, a punk rocker, a loving Father and partner, Amrik Rai was known by many for different reasons. His later years saw him more simplistically taking the Common and those who walked it by storm with his beloved Monty (Black Flat Coat Retriever). Although the people who had the pleasure of meeting him may not need reminding of his larger-than-life presence, we think it would be befitting to honour him by applying for his very own bench ON SOUTHAMPTON COMMON where people who knew him can pay their respects for the future.
