American Prophets (Interviews)
The interviews to be published in this book with your support are the best in the 25 year history of SPLAB, with legendary poets, indigenous people and other visionaries. SPLAB was founded in 1993 and celebrates its anniversary on December 14, 2018, with this book. All proceeds will benefit SPLAB's work in the community to: "present poetry events, develop the audience and resources to support poetry, lead a bioregional cultural investigation using poetics, poetry festivals, publications and education as main methodologies and build bioregional community through shared experience of the spoken and written word." We want the funds to help support our operations as we prepare to create the next iteration of the Cascadia Poetry Festival. The campaign is being run by SPLAB Founding Director Paul Nelson, and we intend to provide copies of the book at our December 14, 2018 celebration. We hope to pre-sell 200 copies of the book and use some of the funds to help prepare other books of transcribed interviews for future publication. This is the culmination of many years of work and we are calling on anyone who has enjoyed any SPLAB event in the last 25 years to consider supporting this effort.+ Read More
