American Legion Post 9, Jax, FL
Early morning fire causes major damage to American Legion Edward C. DeSaussure Post 9 on New Kings Road in Jacksonville, Florida. Investigation reveals that the fire was set following a break-in and theft that morning. Much of the loss and damage is not covered by insurance.
Post 9 members are appealing to our veterans friends and family to make a donation to help us restore our Post and continue the help that we offer our fellow veterans as well as our community.
If you would like a receipt for your donation for tax purposes, please email our Post Commander, Mrs. Lena Heredia- Perez at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Due to the extent of the damage that was done from the Burglary/Arson on April 15th it was going to take an additional 3 months to get up and running at our old location. The membership was fortunate enough to find a new location that has everything that we need plus more so that we can continue to serve our Veterans, their families, and our Community.
Please continue to keep our members in your prayers as we have a lot of things to get done before opening our new facility. Please also continue to pray for that the investigators are able to catch/identify the individual/s who committed this heinous crime that way they are not able to do this to any other organization!
Thank you for your continued support and donations! We greatly appreciate it. Please follow us on Facebook for more information as July 1st is right around the corner!
For God & Country,
