My name is Trisha and this is my story....
I don't know exactly where to start so I will start by telling you that I am a 32 year old mother of 6...yes, you read that correctly..6 :D I have 5 girls and a boy and I am happily married to my middle school sweet heart (twice...long story!) My passion for hair and makeup started in 8th grade when I would do hair for my sister's formals and prom and I used to do my hair for school in updos, lol! Then it continued into high school cosmetology then I obtained my license through Potomac Academy in 2001.
I started my business "Amazing Occasions" Hair Design & Makeup in 2011, providing services onsite for weddings and the first year I did 31 weddings...AMAZING! I have now been in business for 6 years and business has done nothing but grow! I am so very blessed but I am still currently working in the medical field (Ophthalmic technician) and running my business as well as raising my 6 children. I work 7 days and I am very dedicated to my job and my business but it's my DREAM to own my own studio!
This business will differ from many other salons and makeup counters out there and I know it's going to be successful but all I need is a little help from family and friends and some wonderful angels out there in the world to give me the push that I need to get started. Although I am asking for 25k, I will ultimately need more but this will give me the 20% I need to even get the banks to consider me.
I promise that any amount donated to me will be used to for a great cause. My company will give back the community by hosting/sponsoring charity events every year to help women going through cancer treatment and/or abuse a self esteem boost to make them feel and look their best because we all know when you look good you feel good! My company will forever donate to the Polycystic Kidney Disease fund in honor of my aunt and mentor Shelia Block, it's because of her I am even where I am today and writing you this story. I want to inspire my 5 daughters (and my sweet boy) to give back to the community and return all the blessings God bestows upon us.
My goal is to open my business by next April 2017 and hope to apply for a bank loan or alternative funding by the end of the summer. I can't even begin to tell you how happy and thankful I would be by your donation but I know actions speak louder than words so I will show you with the success of my business and in return you will know that you truly made my dream come true!
