Amaranta es un hogar en Argentina para niños de 0 a 4 años, huérfanos, abandonados, víctimas de maltrato y abuso. Son niños judicializados, acogidos temporariamente hasta tanto se resuelva su situación y vuelvan con su familia biológica o sean adoptados por otra familia.
Amaranta is a Home for orphan, abandonned, ill-treated and abused children from childbirth to four years of age in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
These children are taken in temporarily, until their legal situation is solved and they can either go back to their biological families, or be adopted.
Todos los niños merecen tener oportunidades, la posibilidad de formar una familia y reinsertarse dignamente en la sociedad.
Every child deserves a chance, the possiblity of being member of a family, and reintegrated into society with respect and dignity.
Es por ello, que junto con un grupo de personas, desarrollamos nuestro trabajo, inspiradas en un Hogar de Hungría que funcionó por más de 60 años y logró que los niños puedan reinsertarse dignamente en la sociedad. La UNESCO y la OMS lo reconocieron por 0 índice de hospitalización y delincuencia.
Éste es un nuevo paradigma en Hogares y queremos poder multiplicarlo para muchos niños más.
This is why our work is inspired by a Hungarian home which was open for more than sixty years in Budapest, and achieved the reintegration of all its children to society, most of them being able to build up their own
family. This methodology was acknowledged by UNESCO and the World Health Organisation for having 0% delinquency rate and 0% hospitalization rate, respectively.
Si bien el Hogar cuenta con becas por niño otorgadas por el Estado, Amaranta necesita un respaldo importante de la comunidad, para poder garantizar a los niños la casa y todo lo que se refiera a brindarles un entorno bello y digno para su desarrollo.
Although Amaranta receives government grants for each child, we need strong support from private donors as well to guarantee the continuance of our qualified and committed staff, cover house expenses, and provide
best quality care according to the needs each age demands for a healthy development.
Necesitamos 110.000 EU para llevar adelante este profundo y comprometido trabajo por los niños de hoy y el futuro de nuestra sociedad.
We need to raise Eu 110,000 to keep our programmes running. This will allow us both to ensure the well-being of many children, and to improve the conditions in our society.

La historia de Amaranta
How Amaranta started
Desde 2015 un grupo de mujeres lideradas por Camila Agostini, pujaron para crear el Hogar de tránsito Amaranta en Buenos Aires, Argentina. Las inspira y están formadas en un abordaje único, que promueve y pone el énfasis en la calidad de los cuidados, con adultos referentes estables para cada niño y un ambiente bello y nutritivo. Junto a ello también acompañan a las familias de los niños y trabajan con la comunidad cercana carenciada. Mientras, la situación de riesgo de los bebés y niños en la provincia escala y alarma: los hogares actuales llegan a hospedar el doble de niños de su capacidad real y/o los niños quedan en hospitales por no tener donde ir. Hoy Camila ha cedido su casa en alquiler ante la difucultad de poder concretarlo en otro espacio, y junto a este grupo de admirables mujeres, abrieron las puertas en agosto para recibir a los niños.
This group of women, all compromised with early childhood care and upbringing, came together in 2015, led by Camila Agostini, urged by the lack of places to shelter abandonned children. Their aim was to
contribute to social transformation grounded on work on oneself, with others and for others.
They struggled to create a Home for judicialised children from 0 to 4 years of age, and finally opened its doors at Camila´s former home in San Isidro, in August this year.
Cómo trabajamos en Amaranta
What makes Amaranta special
Impulsamos un nuevo paradigma en el cuidado de las niñas y niños, como también en el vínculo y trabajo con sus familias.
Nuestro trabajo se basa en el respeto por el ser individual que vive en cada niña y niño, y en su vínculo con un adulto referente, dentro de un entorno preparado para el desarrollo de su autonomía. Dicho entorno y la calidad de los cuidados que el niño recibe influyen directamente en su salud, es por ello que los ambientes del hogar son amplios y cálidos y están preparados para que los niños jueguen y se muevan en libertad. Ellos disponen allí de materiales que propician el desarrollo de la actividad autónoma.
Amaranta develops a new paradigm on child care based on the respect for the individual being who dwells in each girl and boy, and their bond to referent adults, within an environment especially prepared for the development of their free self-directed movement. At present, we can give shelter to up to twelve children, and we want to offer it to many others who are and will be in need of it.
Los espacios de higiene, alimentación y sueño están especialmente diseñados para favorecer el encuentro entre el niño y la cuidadora. Estos tres momentos de encuentro son vitales para que se establezca un vínculo, a partir del cual el niño se construirá a sí mismo y el adulto irá transformando su actitud para acompañarlo.
Amaranta embodies a new paradigm on child care, based on the respect for the individual and the quality of the main moments of care: feeding, bathing and sleep, within an environment especially prepared to allow
the development of free self-directed movement.
El Hogar cuenta con un amplio jardín, en un entorno arbolado, que permite un contacto diario con la naturaleza, esencial para el desarrollo saludable de los sentidos y de los procesos vitales en la primera infancia.
Our Home is surrounded by a large garden and is located in a privileged natural environment, enhancing the encounter with Nature, essential for a healthy development of the senses and of vital processes in early childhood.
Las cuidadoras sostienen un ritmo diario que favorece la adquisición de hábitos y la vivencia de bienestar, seguridad y confianza. En las actividades cotidianas se respetan las etapas madurativas, los gustos e intereses personales de cada niño.
The daily rhythm kept by the care-takers fosters the acquisition of healthy habits, as well as a sense of well-being, safety, and confidence. Everyday activities respect the maturity stage, personal likings and interests of each child.
Desarrollamos también un programa de empoderamiento para las familias poniendo énfasis en el trabajo del adulto sobre sí mismo y su capacidad de transformación.
We also develop an empowerment programme for the children´s families, and another one to work with the community.
