LEAP With The Nicho's

Hello! We are the Nicho's, from Charlotte North Carolina (well that's where we live). So our love story began 10 years ago on an online dating site, where we beat the odds, and fell in love, even through living 3 hours apart! We have been married for almost 5 years (7/18); and about 9 months before we got married we decided it was time to change our lives and get healthy. Patrick started at 520 lbs (last we checked) and Eva at 310ish, and now we are down 440 lbs!!! Patrick is weighing in at 230 lbs and loves weight lifting; while Eva is 149 lbs and has run a dozen half and a couple of full marathons! Through this experience we have met such amazing people and gained so much knowledge of the human body. After talking with others we decided to become certified personal trainers and start to give back some of what the world has given us! Now, why we are starting this...Patrick works for the city and Eva is a general manager at a restaurant so we are comfortable but not swimming in free time or extra cash; but have been offered some great opportunities to follow our dream! This go fund me is for so much more than just a helping hand, it is giving us the opportunity to take what we've learned and spread the power of knowledge and understanding. Through this movement we are hoping to:
- Building an extension to our house for a gym to train and teach people about exercise and nutrition (roughly 30k)
- Take time off our "adulting jobs" to focus on training and becoming more expierienced.
- Launch a non profit where we can give back and educate families
- Start offering training sessions (free/reduced) to those who can't afford traditional training fees.
- Begin saving up for skin removal surgery so that we can finally look like the people we are on the inside, on the outside. (50-60k for both)
We have gone back and forth for years about starting a page and asking for help from others, but once we built our confidence and were presented with great opportunities we realized this could be the start of something real. To those of you reading this, we know how hard you work for your money and are so grateful you even took the time to stop in and hear our story. Whether or not you can/want to donate we are always here to answer questions and help anyone who is struggling with their health.
We have beat the odds in love, our own personal health, and now want to beat the odds and crush this goal so we can start giving back to those in need. Thank you.
