My brother-in-law Alok Reddy, 32, is recovering from his wounds after being shot by a former US Navy veteran, an attack eyewitnesses said could be racially motivated. Alok’s 32-year-old friend, Srinivas Kuchibhotla, was killed in the Austins Bar and Grill in Olathe.
Alok and Srinivas were in the bar to cool off and have a beer after work on Wednesday night when they were attacked. They didnt expect that they would fall victims to the violence happened that night. I am raising this campaign to provide financial support for my brother-in-law's medical expenses.

Though there is already an existing campaign for this, many people have been asking to keep it a separate one for my brother-in-law and his family.

Ian grillot is a great human for what he has done and i wish speedy recovery for him and my brother-in-law(dad to be). I wish Srinivas soul to be Rest in Peace.

Hello All,

This is Alok. There has been a confusion and not sure how the campaign got reopened. Proceeds from this will be donated to charity and I am not in a situation to take advantage of anything while I am grieving.
I am working with GoFundMe to close this asap.

My brother-in-law is also called as Alok Reddy or Alok Madasani. He loves to spend more time with friends and always makes others smile with his talks. He is a sports person and loves cricket more. He is a big fan of 'Sachin .
Tendulkar'. Moreover he was also awarded fastest double century scorer when he used to live in seattle. Hope he plays cricket again in near future. On the other side he also likes to watch Kansas city chiefs playing.
Now after this big tragedy in his life, he lost his closest friend and with all that he is going through, i hope this campaign will support him in all aspects. Finally I wish him that my nephew brings joy and happiness in his new life

Ian (who is a hero) has already surpassed what they needed by a large margin. Alak Reddy is nowhere near his goal. People can donate to whomever they please. You're out of line Laurel.

I am not sure why the campaign was re-opened. There was update where they mentioned they have reached the goal. In update 5 they have mentioned some different stuff but no reason why they have opened. I saw in the news there is very little medical support required for Alok as injuries were very small. There is 670k collected (Goal - 150K) in Srinivas campaign and 420K collected (Goal-300K) in Ian's account.I am wondering whether that have motivated Alok team to cash on these sympathetic people who are donating not knowing whats going to happen to this money. Campaign like this should not cash people's sympathetic behavior towards victims. This is shame on the campaign co-coordinator. This is of the worst form of cheating. Alok has been working for the past 10 years in a good company and I imagine he is in a good financial position. Campaign like these are for who are in dire need of money. Even he needs money he already collected 40K and closed the account and I am not sure why it was reopened. This is pathetic behaviour by Rahul reddy who is coordinator of this campaign and Kavipriya who is coordinator of Srinivas campaign. I hope humanity did not reach to a place where people are trying to earn money on dead.

Laurel, you are the problem with society. I have no idea how a person can come to a conclusion that a person who was the actual target of the crime, who was being targeted to kill, and was shot, doesn't deserve donations (anyone there should have got up to save them - but you probably would not have). If you have additional information about their current financial, family, insurance coverage, or health conditions, then go ahead and share, otherwise please don't tell us about your inhumane opinions (or maybe it's a good thing you did, cause people who knew you will now know your true character). I am certain that if Ian and Alok's roles was reversed, you would still be donating to Ian. Clearly, race is an issue for people like you.

Guys, It it clear that Laurel McGhee is a racist troll, looking at her FB page. She is what is wrong with America currently. Bigots being given a public platform for their hate. Her FB page alludes to support for Trump. While that doesn't necessarily make her racist, you can draw your own conclusions from this troll's comments. Nick

Why is this fundraiser no longer accepting donations? The goal has not been met. Is it a glitch, intentional or something else?

Can you give us an update on as to what the present condition of Alok is ? Heard that he was discharged the very next day and he also met Ian at the hospital few days ago.
