Allin Kibben Memorial

Allin Kauffman Kibben, otherwise known as AK or Flaco, died in his sleep on May 3, 2018 at his home in Tucson, AZ (6544 E Nicaragua Dr, 85730). 

A.K. was born in Rapid City, South Dakota to Alice Huber Kibben and James Satterlee Kibben on November 30, 1954. Most of his school years were spent in Rapid but he moved to Boulder when he was 17 to live with his brother, Jaime and Karen, sister-in-law. 

He married Marcia Streets in 1983 and had two sons, Aaron (1984) and Nick (1986) where they lived in Newcastle, WY at the time. He and the family moved to Tucson, AZ in 1987 where they lived before divorcing about 1989. He then met met and married his second wife, Barbara Walters ,in 1995. 
 
He's worked the past 22 years at CalPortland cement as a surface miner, but his much more a musician at heart. He loved music and helped found the Hot Club of Tucson after his much beloved Gypsy Jazz musician, Django Reinhart. He had his Triumph Bonneville that brought him joy but was unable to ride for the past few years.  He did amateur magic tricks, loved to entertain, tell stories and bad jokes. He was much loved by almost all that met him. 

A.K. is survived by his wife Barbara Kibben of Columbus, GA, his sister Roxanne Kibben (Theresa Libby) of St. Paul, Minnesota, and his two sons, Aaron Kibben of Casa Grande, and Nicholas Kibben of Tucson. He is proceeded in death by his parents and his two older brothers; Jamie Huber Kibben and Winfield Satterlee Kibben.

A Celebration of A.K.'s life will be held in Rapid City, SD on July 7th. He had no insurance and this fund will help defray expenses the family is dealing with. Any contribution is welcomed.
