Help Aidan Roost in his fight to beat Leukaemia
Donation protected
Hello Friends and Family,
We are raising funds to support Aidan Roost in his fight to beat cancer. On April the 24th 2019 Aidan was suddenly diagnosed with T-cell ALL Leukaemia.
This type of leukaemia is an aggressive (fast growing) type of leukaemia (blood cancer). As a result of the first phase of chemotherapy Aidan has now been diagnosed with diabetes.
Aidan is just 15 years old, in year 10 at Nudgee College and loves spending time with his friends. Aidan loves to play many sports, in particular Rugby Union for both Nudgee College and Norths Rugby Club. He is funny, caring and very special to all that know and love him.
Over the past few years our families have become very close friends after they joined our group moving from Sydney in 2016. We have enjoyed many group holidays together and have shared lots of other special occasions along the way. We had just returned from our Easter holiday together only to find out a short time later Aidan had been taken to hospital. The very next day he went into surgery for a lumbar puncture, and a bone marrow biopsy along with other invasive testing as they prepped him for chemotherapy.
The Roosts are one of the most generous and giving families we could ask for and we feel it is now time to give back as they face the ultimate fight. Let us all get together and support this family in their time of need. I remember saying to Penny that day...”and just like that... your whole world is turned upside down”. This was so unexpected, and a massive shock to all of us, especially to Penny, Andy, Aidan and Dylan.
These are the immediate costs the family are incurring:
* Hospital parking, additional fuel and tolls
* Professional house and carpet cleaning
* Medications
* Meals at the hospital for the family
* Loss of income
* Tutoring and other costs associated to assist Aidan’s education
* Counselling
The Roost family have been overwhelmed by offers of support. We thought it made sense to create a platform to provide the opportunity for you to donate and help them with medical costs and expenses during this difficult time if you can. If anyone would like to donate in an alternative manner we have set up a support group for you to contact below:

A message from the Roost family:
“Andy and I want to thank everyone for your messages of support and kindness. We have been blown away and touched by your love during this difficult time. We want you to know that we will only be using this fund for whatever Aidan needs during his journey. Any left over donations we will “pay it forward” to a charity close to our hearts or to others that are in need”
Much love
