Fallen Tree Causes Double-fatality in Russellville...
Russellville Fire Marshal Richard Setian issued a late afternoon media release on a incident that resulted in two deaths. At approximately 1:30PM Russellville Fire Dept. units E1, L1, and E2, under the command of Battalion Chief Brent Hamm, responded to 4100 West Main St on a report of a large tree on a mobile home. Upon arrival, firefighters confirmed a fallen tree on the home with three occupants trapped inside. A crane service was summoned due to the size of the tree. Upon removal of the tree, firefighters extricated three victims. Two victims (mother and male child) were deceased and the third (female child) in critical condition. The identities of those involved have not yet been released. An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
