In November 2018, Alice was diagnosed with early stage breast cancer. She tested for the high risk breast cancer gene (BRCA2) and decided to move forward with the doctor's recommendation to get a double mastectomy and remove her ovaries and fallopian tubes in February 2019.  She just started chemotherapy in April. 

Let's face it - cancer sucks. No one should have to go through this ordeal but it it does happen to people who we know and love.
