Algoma Microchip Program

Donation protected
Algoma is a community that cares deeply for its citizens, including its furry ones. One of the ways we can help our pets is by having a microchip scanner in town for our police to use.  Without a scanner in Algoma, the police have to drive animals to the closest open clinic which can stress the animal out and waste precious time returning it to the owner.

This cause is especially important to high schooler Sadie Olejniczak who single handed began the microchip campaign by soliciting the first $50 donation. In addition to this gofundme campaign, Sadie has organized a dog walking clinic  "Leash Manners: Don't Get Dragged Around! " with Hopeful Paws Dog Training  with all the donations going to this cause.

Other team members include Animal Control Officer Tyler Tuttle, sixth graders Bailey and Xadria, Cathy Pabich, Sara Olejniczak and the Algoma Area Chamber of Commerce.

The cost of the scanner is $500.  Any additional funds raised will be put towards offering low cost or free microchip clinics.
