Hello! My name is Alex. This summer, I'll be travelling to Barcelona, Spain to be one of 400 hand-picked beta participants in an experimental program called Mindvalley U. At the bottom of this post you'll find a link that explains the program in more detail, and between here and there I'll explain the finances of the trip.
My flight to Spain was generously covered by my parents (I'll bring you a souvenir, mom and dad). After that, tuition is $995 and my Airbnb (where I'm staying) is $702.
Moving on to living expenses, I'll be in Spain from May 23rd to June 27th (35 days). I'm budgetting $10 for food a day, with an additional $50 for a few authentic meals (to best experience local cuisine).
As for transport, I'll need to buy a metro pass for the time I'll be there, and I plan on renting a bike so as to better explore the beautiful city. I've allotted $100 in this category.
As the Mindvalley U program is more than just a curriculum, there will no doubt be group explorations of the city, landmarks, museums, and the surrounding region. These will be impromptu or planned while in Barcelona, so I've allotted $150 in preparation/anticipation.
Lastly, because no adventure goes as planned, I've set aside $53 for the unexpected.
