On December 4th, 2016 Alex Wallin, at the heartbreakingly young age of 25, lost her lifelong battle with Addison's Disease and Polyglandular Autoimmune Disorder after suffering complications from pneumonia and the complexities of her autoimmune disease. Her passing was unexpected and is a devestating loss to her family and all who loved her. Alex was a beacon of light and joy - full of life and love always lifting up those around her.
Alex's parents, Faith and Gary Wallin, are the kindest, most loving and generous people I know. They have reached out and helped SO many in need over the years in small and BIG ways. They are always the first in our family and their community to offer help and support whenever they can.
They need OUR help now. Being so unexpected, Alex's funeral, burial and many other related costs are continuing to add up and have long passed the $10k mark. "Cheif" (CW5) Gary Wallin, is a hero and Army Veteran Apache pilot having served over 30 years including a tour in Afghanistan, and now retired from active military service. Faith worked for many years at Zion's Bank, then off and on for Granite School district as a part time Aide but mostly she has been able to be a stay at home mom. Emptying savings accounts, cancelling planned family vacations and many other similar sacrifices are none anyone wants to make for any reason, but especially not for expenses related to losing a child. These are all sacrifices Faith and Gary are facing and the burden and worry of "How are we going to pay for all of this?" is not an additional stress they should have to handle or worry about. Please help ease the financial burden of Alex's passing for the Wallin family so they can focus on one another while adjusting to a new life without Alex and work towards healing and peace as they grieve the loss of their beautiful daughter and sister.
