Albany Pop Warner Road to Disney

On October 22, 2016 the Albany Pop Warner Jr. Varsity Cheerleading team competed at the local Pop Warner competition in Rensselaer, NY and placed first earning them the title of Capital District Champions! We then began to prepare for the Eastern Regional Competition, which was the only thing that stood between us and our goal of Nationals in Disney. Saturday November 12th, at the Sun Bank Arena in Trenton, NJ the girls competed against  12 other teams and placed first winning them the title of Eastern Region Champions and giving them the chance to compete at Nationals in Walt Disney World! As excited as we are, we are now faced with the daunting task of raising the funds necessary to compete.  We recognize that these are challenging economic times but programs like Albany Pop Warner are an integral part of our community that we must sustain in order to help our children thrive.

The girls have worked very hard to get this far. They not only put in work on the cheer mat but also in school as well. The average G.P.A for our team is an 89.27!! The Albany Pop Warner Jr. Varsity Cheerleading team is dedicated to succeeding in and out of the cheer gym and so we hope that you (or someone you may know) can help us make our dream a reality.
