Alan's Student Loan Problem
Donation protected
Hi my name is Alan Dykes. In 2006 I wanted to make something more of myself. So I decided to go to school. Little did I know that the school I chose was a "for-profit" school and would not actually teach me anything up to date that would allow me to get a job in my field. When I got out of school I was so far behind the technology used in my field no one would hire me.
I met my wife Kat at school, we were in the same program. We started learning stuff on our own, as we did not want to give up on what we loved doing. While I was able to land an entry level job my wife has been unable to find permanent work. Our student loans caught up with us and we could no longer afford to live on our own.

Matters got worse when I started having seizures which resulted in brain surgery. We continued trying to maintain independence and and learning the new technology but it has, ulitmately, left us further behind in the technology and drowning in student loan debt. This has all resulted in the need to move back in with my parents.

I am asking anyone who can to please help my wife and I find a way to get out from under Sallie Mae. We aren't asking for a lot, just five dollars a person or what you can afford. Then if you know anyone you think could please help my wife and I, pass our story to them and tell each one of your friend to pass it around and give five dollars or more if you can. If enough people can give. It could free me from this debt that is making me wish I had never gone to school.
