R.I.P. Alan Henning Fund

Janet O'Shaughnessy  Walkden South Ward, ENG

A fund for the children of Alan Henning.

I have set up this page for people to pledge a donation to Alan Henning's family at this terrible time.

I  have had donations and messages from far and wide, which is absolutely amazing.

If Alan had one wish it would be for his family to be financially secure in the future.  Every penny of this fund will go to his children.  Barbara Henning, Alan's wife has given this fundraising account her approval and support.  She has said  that she would like the money to go directly to her and Alan's two teenage children.

Please donate, however little you can afford, it will all help.

R.I.P. Alan, you were a true hero!

Update 5

I am pleased to announce that there will be a celebrity football match on Sunday 19th October at 2pm at Monton AFC with the proceeds going to this fund. Ralph Little will be playing, along with the lads from Corrie, Emmerdale and Hollyoaks.

I will be running a raffle on the day and I am in the process of gathering prizes for the raffle. So, if you have anything that you could donate, please contact me and I can arrange to have it picked up before Sunday.

Also, if anybody would like to come along and volunteer to do face painting, that would be fab. You would however, need to have your own paints

Many, many thanks!

I am promoting this fund via SalfordOnline.com and Salford Council with the ladies at Walkden Community agroup. I'm so proud of the generosity shown by everyone. It really is humbling. From old ladies to single mums, everyone should be so proud. I'm sure Alan is looking down with pride at his community with gratitude. Thank you all so much. Let's get to £10,000!
