Alaka'i Kauai Public Charter School

"Today is Giving Tuesday, a special day honoring all charitable organizations for their contributions to the communities they serve". Please consider helping our newly approved Alaka`i O Kaua`i Public Charter School. We will receive state funding August 2017 to offer a tuition-free school open to all Kauai keiki. BUT we need resources and funds to open our innovative public charter school. Federal and State grants seemed to be put on hold until after the national election so we have not been able to apply for start-up funds. We need our community, foundations, and philanthropists to step forward and assist us in our final steps to becoming a reality – a Century 21st School to prepare our youths for the future. We will teach to the whole child with social emotional learning as well as the academics and physical well-being. We know the arts can empower tomorrow's creative leaders. We know children need to critically think, problem-solve, communicate, collaborate and care for our environment and each other. YOU helped us get approved for a charter school for Kauai, please help us now to open.
