ALA Boston - 2018 August Challenge

For the third year in a row, our chapter's Community Engagement Committee has issued a challenge to help us reach our goal of $10,000 for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Medford and Somerville!  Over the last two years, this Chapter's generous members and business partners raised over $30,000 to fund a new young adult program for 14- to 18- year olds.  Thanks to the partnership with the Boston Chapter of the ALA, they now have 20 to 30 teens taking advantage of this program.

We , as part of the best chapter in the ALA, should be proud about the impact we have made.  To keep this going, we need your help again!  To achieve our goal, we are challenging all of our members, firms, business partners and friends to raise/donate as much as possible to this great cause.  We are asking you to donate whatever you can: $10,$20, $50, $100 or more by the end of August.  Obviously the more you can raise, the better.  This is a strength by numbers campaign - if everyone participates, we will exceed our goal.  Please remember that the Boston Chapter of ALA "owns" this program and without our support, these teenagers do not have a program.  Of course they will receive 100% of all donations.

By donating, you will not only feel great about helping us support an unfunded high school program, you will also get your name on the website as a donor to the cause!  Therefore, we have named August "Boys & Girls Clubs Challenge Month".  We know our chapter is up to the challenge!
